Golden Globe Winners 2011

The Golden Globe Winners 2011 can be found here. Earlier this evening the 2011 Golden Globe which was hosted by British funnyman Ricky Gervais took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California – and as usual all of the big names in Hollywood such as Jolie, Portman and DeNiro were in attendance.

Despite the fact that the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards were very predictable – we have to admit that Gervais was very entertaining joking about Charlie Sheen’s latest scandal and the ceremony was well put together.

The Golden Globe awards are split in 25 categories, 14 are given to movies while the remaining 11 are spread out in TV land.

“The Social Network” was the big winner of the night beating “Inception”, “Black Swan”, “The Fighter” and “The King’s Speech” for Best Motion Picture, Drama.
The film which was directed by David Finch also won the Best Film award at the 2011 Critic’s Choice Awards held on Friday 14 January.

Are the Oscars the next step? Natalie Portman, who won the award for Best Actress did not miss the opportunity to thank Benjamin Millepied her future husband and the father of her unborn baby.

Sandra Bullock who won the Golden Globe last year for “The Blind Side” took the stage to present the award for Best Actor in drama to Colin Firth for his work in “The King’s Speech”.
