Juan Williams Fired By NPR

Juan Williams Fired By NPR – National Public Radio has terminated the contract of a news analyst after he said that he gets nervous when he sees people on planes dressed in Muslim garb. Juan Williams has actually been working for National Public Radio for a long time now, and the fact that he also worked as a news analyst on Fox had always been a sore point. The comments that Williams made were shown on The O’Reilly Factor. Apparently, O’Reilly was asking for Williams’ opinion on the controversial Muslim remarks that he himself had made on The View.

Williams had the following to say: “Look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

There have been many people who have slipped up over the years by making ridiculous comments about people from different religions, or different countries, but this is certainly one of the most idiotic.

Many people have questioned what the NPR news analyst was thinking when he came out with his statements on the show. It is no surprise that his contract had been terminated after what he said, as there would have been outrage if he was allowed to continue working.
