Survivor Winner 2010: Jud Fabio Birza

The winner of “Survivor: Nicaragua” was recently announced, and it seems that Jud “Fabio” Birza was the one to beat all season.

Birza, 21-years old and a model from Los Angeles, made it to the very end, beating out Chase Rice, a 24-year old singer, as well as Matthew “Sash” Lenahan, a 30-year old real estate broker.

The finale aired on December 19, where it was revealed that Birza took the title after receiving five votes out of the nine-person jury that was made up of the previous contestants from the show.

The night of the final, Birza won three immunity challenges, as well as the sympathy of his remaining contestants after he gave a moving tribute to his family during the Tribal Council portion of the show.

It seems that he clinched his win after telling the Tribal Council that he had remained “himself” throughout the show, rather than boasting that he was able to outsmart and outlast everyone else, like Rice decided to do.

Birza won a $1 million cash prize for being the final Survivor. The 22nd season of the show will next take place on the beach of San Juan del Sur.
