The Sing-Off 2010 Winner: Committed

Television show “The Sing-Off” recently announced the winner of their second season, crowing the group Committed the reigning champs.

The group, comprised of six men, trumped Street Corner Symphony in order to win the title on Monday, December 20.

Besides winning the contest, the group was also given a $100,000 cash prize, as well as a recording contract with the Sony Music company.

The group was overwhelmed and ecstatic with their win, telling fans that they would begin touring soon. “We owe all this to God and our friends and family,” said the lead vocalist Therry Thomas.

The finale was a two-hour long show, featuring numerous different musical guests that performed with the remaining contestants.

Singer Sheryl Crow was there, and performed “Long Road Home” with Jerry Lawson & Talk of the Town, who were the first group to be eliminated that night.

The group also performed with Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. The Backbeats performed with Sara Bareilles, singing “King of Anything”.

They were the next group to be eliminated.
Committed sang “Hold My Hand”, by Michael Jackson and Akon for their final performance, right before they were announced the winners.
